Device Management Terms of Use

Purpose & Scope

This Mobile Device Management (MDM) Policy applies to all mobile devices, tablets, and computers that are owned, issued, or managed by Nexus Star Enterprises LLC. The purpose of this policy is to protect the security, integrity, and confidentiality of the company's data and network.

Device Monitoring & Privacy

Expectation of Privacy

Company-managed devices are the property of Nexus Star Enterprises LLC. Users should have no expectation of privacy regarding the data, usage, or location of the enrolled device. In accordance with applicable law and the terms of the signed agreement between the parties, the company reserves the right to monitor, track, access, or wipe the device to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.

Acceptable Use

Approved Usage Parameters

• Devices are provided primarily for business purposes. Incidental personal use is permitted provided it does not interfere with business operations or violate company policy.
• Users must not download, store, or transmit illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content.
• Users must not use the device to engage in activities that could compromise the security of the Nexus Star network (e.g., unauthorized VPNs, torrenting).

Security & Compliance

MDM Profiles & Device Integrity

• No Tampering: Users are strictly prohibited from attempting to bypass, alter, or remove the installed MDM profile or security configurations.
• No Jailbreaking/Rooting: Modifying the device’s operating system (jailbreaking or rooting) is strictly forbidden. Devices detected as compromised will be immediately isolated from the network and remotely wiped.
• Authentication: Devices must maintain active passcodes, biometrics, or passwords as enforced by the MDM profile. Do not share your device credentials with unauthorized individuals.

Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Devices

Reporting & Remote Actions

In the event a managed device is lost, stolen, or damaged, the user must notify IT Support immediately by emailing [email protected]. To protect company data, Nexus Star Enterprises LLC reserves the right to execute a remote lock or full remote wipe of the device without prior notice.

Equipment Return

Termination & Repossession

Upon termination of employment, end of contract, or at the immediate request of management, the user must return the device along with all provided accessories. The device must be returned in good working condition, accounting for standard wear and tear.
